How to combat stress?

Today's world, although it abounds in many useful inventions, unfortunately does not allow us to be lazy. We pay our health for longer and harder work. We spend a lot of money while having too little time for ourselves and our loved ones. Such a vicious circle leads to nerve problems. Stress is most often an overload of work, combined with constant fear for further life and too high dose of the so-called stress hormones, including adrenaline, which is released when we feel stress. Fortunately, there are simple ways to combat stress and its symptoms, such as problems with sleeping or memory.

Let's set priorities in life

If our life resembles endless work and constant efforts, let's think about whether we have set our priorities properly. It often happens that we want to do too much at once. Successful life is not about doing everything perfectly, but about letting go of less important things that should not affect our happiness. If we put the family or our work first, then we will always have time for it. Let's schedule the day so that it suits us and our needs. If our priority is, for example, sport, let us devote most of our time to it. It was found that many people are stressed because of too little time for themselves and their relatives. This is very bad for our nervous system, constantly disrupting its work. We are overworked and everything takes twice as long to do. We enter the vicious circle - instead of spending less time on work and dealing with de-stressing the body, we overload it even more.

Spend at least an hour a day on what we love

It does not matter if our passion is cooking or watching series. In order for our brain and us to relax, it is worth spending at least an hour a day for our passion. Of course, it would be good if it was a passion associated with physical activity. However, if we like passive rest or work on a daily basis, static relaxation is also highly recommended. Let's try not to think about the next day at work and problems. This time is also worth spending with family or friends because it has been scientifically proven that being with people who are close to us greatly improves our functioning, reduces stress and increases the secretion of endorphins.

Change the attitude

Despite the change in priorities, we may still feel anxiety and stress. Often, even an hour's rest does not give the desired results. It may be because of having too many things on our mind. It is worth changing the attitude, to not be nervous about trivialities. Too big of an attachment to the material side of life causes us to escape important things, such as relationships with friends or the development of our skills and passions. Enjoying your life will take so much time that we will not have to stress it with trifles.
