Just reading these posts--got a RX for Inderal/Propanolol today for performance anxiety. According to the posts it looks promising. I see a few people have said they wake up not breathing right or can't get air.....Well--Inderal is a Beta Blocker. If you have asthma or breathing problems don't take it. It is contraindicated. It's possible that a few people may not even be formally diagnosed with asthma--so I would say if you wheeze or get short of breath--don't take this drug. Also, anything at a higher dose is going to cause more problems/symptoms. (Sun Feb 8 22:40 2009) (Sun Feb 8 22:44 2009)
Just started taking propranolol earlier this week for my anxiety and it's the miracle I've been looking for. There have been no ill side effects and it almost completely stops the physical symptoms of my anxiety, and w/o the symptoms, it helps lower my actual anxiety. (Fri Jan 30 23:13 2009)
I have just got propranolol to take before exams/interveiws etc. I have took it once at home and it made me very relaxed and drowsy. I'd like to know more about it before randomly taking it before I go out.. (Thu Jun 5 14:12 2008)
Hi deeley10:
The day before my presentation, I took 10 mg propranolol x3 a day. The day of the presentation, I took one 10 mg in the morning then another 10 mg 1 hour before the presentation. I never experienced any shaking hands or trembling voice during the presentation. Works perfect for me, but unfortunately, the medication gives me some stomach cramps. (Mon May 19 11:11 2008)
Hi there, I'm in need of some fast advice. i'm a student at Birmingham Univeristy, England. I'm a normal, fit and healthy guy who enjoys what most other 20 year old student enjoys - going out, socialising, going to the footy etc etc. I class myself as being a rather confident person, depsite being a tad self-conscious I guess. However, I seem to have a great fear of giving personal presentations and standing up infront of a crowd of unknown people. When I've attempted these presentations before I had all the standard symptoms such as - fast heart rate, dizzyness, shaking, trembling etc. Therefore, I went to see my doctor to address this and he prescribed me 10mg tablets of Propranolol to try and calm these nerves. I've read some posts regarding this and they sound great so far. The doctor advised me to take just one while I was at home one night just chilling out so see if they had any side effects. I did, and it made me feel slightly drowsy but nothing to worry about. SO....I asked the doctor how long before the presentation should I take one? He advised me to take one the night before, one in the morning and one 20-30 mins before giving the presentation. The presentation is this Thursday, so I was just checking if this procedure of taking them at these times would work ok? I've taken a fewover the last few days but I am generally calm when doing normal everyday activities so I have't noticed much difference (ie - no anxiety problems). Any responses ASAP would be much appreciated. Just really trying to find out if I should be taking the tablets at regular intervals daily so my body can adjust to them or anything? And, how long the tablets last for in terms of calming myself down during the presentation? This is quite important as it is part of my University course assessment so I would really appreciate any help on this. Thanks very much! (Sun Feb 17 5:45 2008)
Taking Inderal 60mg LA for migraines. wake up at night with vivid dreams - actually more than dreams - see intruders walking about. otherwise perfectly normal - anyone else experience this? (Tue Jan 22 17:50 2008)
I'm not proud to say but Inderal helped me skate through a polygraph while lying about certain things in my past....mainly drug use as a teen. It truly works miracles when giving presentations or public speaking. I highly recommend it. It is actaully recommended you take 3x the dose if you have to pass a polygraph. (Fri Nov 9 0:59 2007)
Hi
I just found this great website. I am wondering, what is the specific name for Inderal, which some people used before they do the presentation. Usually I get terrified when doing presentation; I hope it will help me. I will post my experience here after I use it. I wish health and safety for every one.

Lynn,
I just started taking Inderal (propranolol, 40 mg x 2 daily) for migraines and I am having the same issues while sleeping. Chest pains all night, insomnia, and (while laying in bed) I'm afraid to go to sleep. It feels like my heart is stopping, and it wakes me up. If I go to sleep, will I wake up? I don't have nightmares, but some vivid dreams. The chest pains all night, and the sense that my heart is stopping periodically is the worst. (Thu Sep 27 11:05 2007)
I just started taking propranolol LA (80 mgs) for complex post-traumatic stress syndrome. My doctor had me taking one every other day for a week and now I'm supposed to take one a day. I am thinking of stopping after only a week becuase of the side-effects. It's making me depressed and giving me insomnia and nightmares. It also sort of gives me a spaced-out feeling. On the other hand my anxiety/panic attacks that began again in full force about a month ago have also stopped. I'm guessing it's the Propanolol that has done that. So, I'm not sure if I should remain on the Propanolol and just stick out the side-effects or quit it. I also take parnate (30 mgs a day). Any ideas? I know everyone is different but I guess my question is, does anyone know if these side-effects usually disappear? (Fri Jul 6 18:36 2007)
I have taken 40mg of Propranolol 25 times since 2003 for performance anxiety. Each time I took about 45 minutes before hand. This is a wonderful drug... it eliminates all of my adverse symptoms, with no apparent side effects, and has allowed me to achieve my potential. (Thu May 3 1:29 2007)
I've read that this drug can cause insulin problems leading to weight gain. Anyone had experience with this?

I feel really bad for the woman with heart problems who nearly died when stopping taking propanalol but would like to stress for all anxiety sufferers who often feel like they're going to die during panic ... It is only if you have heart problems or thyroid etc reasons for taking propanalol that you should not stop taking it cold turkey. I think if it will reduce your anxiety to just take it every second day, then every third etc then only when it is needed then that is worth trying also ... an initial re-occurence of anxiety treated by natural methods can sometimes abate the fear just as much. Good luck all ... (Wed Apr 11 10:45 2007)
I think anyone who has successfully stopped taking propanalol should post to contrast with some positive experiences, I am stopping at the moment and over the last seven years have learned to manage my severe anxiety, agorophobia and panic disorder to the point that I do not experience it very much at all. I confronted the issues that led to my developing anxiety so much that it eventually disabled me for a good few years, I feel able now to experience anxiety without thinking their is something wrong with me or without it developing into panic, accepting the feelings when they begin, allowing your body to relax instead of tensing up against it, and breathing slowly are the three most powerful tools I've been learning and practising. It is tensing your body against a panic attack that causes them to become so bad, if you accept the fear and don't fight it, even though it is really unpleasant, you will begin to lose your fear or fear, fear is only another emotion and taking the fear out of experiencing it, really helps. Why have they discontinued inderal 10mg? I am scared and
angry and was told by wyeth that it was a buisness dissision.
It seems to me that companys don't care about people it's
ashame because I can't take the the gerneric form the 10mg
does not work as well as the brand of indeal. Oh well it's
disgusting and I am very angry too. I take the inderal for
micro valve and severe anxiety. (Sat Jan 13 9:33 2007)
I was taking Inderal LA 80mg for six months but eventually got a very strange side effect that I didn't see posted. My right leg went completely numb and there was terrible itchiness. I got the purple marks where I was itching on my leg. I eventually had to stop it under my doctor's directions. He had never heard of it. A month on and it has only half gone away. I don't understand this numbness. Anyone any ideas?

I am wondering, If "Fear" is an emotion or trait of someone's personality, why not leave it alone..... Don't feel comfortable with public speaking...Don't do it! The heart starts racing for a particular reason, well stop and listen to what your body is telling you.... Drugs are not always the right answer. Myself, I suffer from anxiety and depression and although this propranolol might help some individuals, I chose not to take it because as I can see from this site, it creates a whole lot more problems than its worth taking. We were all created differently and maybe we should breath in and breath out and just start accepting ourselves for the way we are.
A person cannot be good at everything... Please change jobs if its too much for you!!
We all have choices....Just don't do it, its as simple as that. I try to listen to my inner voice as much as I can now and the heck with the rest. Good Luck to all!! (Thu Nov 30 17:39 2006)
My son age 8 takes Inderal 10mgm for anger and anxiety control. It may help but he has constant loose stools which happens without warning. Does anyone else experience this? He is less angry and less apt to be aggressive when taking Inderal, however, with the bowel problems the anxiety is little lessened, but probably elevated to the max. (Thu Nov 30 3:10 2006)
After a year of suffering with anxiety and agrophobia, there hasnt been a medication I have not tried. All of them just rebounded on me, side effects were to severe. I am presently on Rivotril, that helps for a period of 4-6 hrs, today my Doc precsribed me Inderal...I am really hesitant in taking it after reading all these comments.. I am already on an addictive med, although, my dose is very low, do I want to be on another addictive pill? I am just terrified to go through all those bad symptoms again.! But then again will I ever get better...
Has anyone heard about the LINDON METHOD?
Any comments are most appreciated. (Tue Nov 14 16:35 2006)
I have been on Inderol a little over 2 months and am having strong with draw symptoms from having been on Chlordizapan also. I need any information on how I should come off the Inderol. The dr told me it was my heart and not anxiety as I had already been diagnosed. However, this was the first time I had seen this dr and he did not do bloodwork or anything. He just put me on it and said I had a heart condition. I was to take 20mg morning then again evening. I got to where it was way too much then just took 20mg in the morning. He only gave me two months of the generic librium and I been off it for a week. I had severe bruises and now my spine feels on fire, but no bruises. I am going to try to go to 1/4 for a while and then come off of it then if anyone has done this please let me know the outcome. I am a stay at home mom who has been perfectly healthy until diagnosed with anxiety after the birth of my second child two years ago. I can not handle the withdrawls around them and do not want them to see a vegetable. I slept for over 3 hours yesterday and luckily they took a nap at the same time but I was also up late last night. thobbs72@yahoo.net thanks everyone.

I have taken Inderal LA 120mg for several years...initially I was prescribed this by the Neurologist...several months ago I started to see a new Family Dr. of course she convinced me to get off of the Inderal...for months I felt horrid...migraines increased and now my heart rate is off...I spiralled into severe depression...this was all due to no longer taking Inderal...my blood pressure was always 90 over 60 although low it was healthy...in my case I welcome going back on the Inderal taken for the right reasons it is a good drug. (Wed Oct 4 22:26 2006)
Why not get the 40mg and cut them in 4 with a pill cutter? (Mon Sep 11 21:42 2006)
I have taken Inderal for over 30 years for various reasons including migraine headaches, high blood pressure and irregular heartbeat and racing pulse. Now I face a real dilemna because Inderal has been discontinued in 10 mg and 20 mg strenghts. I was taking 10 mg three per day. Anyone taking Inderal can understand why I don't want to go to 40mg. And generics are not an option for me as I have so many problems with the inert ingredients and even Inderal 40 has a blue dye which I have had problems with before. I found out it was discontinued by having the pharamacist tell me it was no longer being made. I called Wyeth and there respond is to see my health care whatever. Well I did see him and there is nothing that he knows of that I can take in place of Inderal as they also are only available in higher doses. I am in the 5th day of reduction to two a day and I'm a dish rag. Slept all day. Have half a head ache and BP is high then low. And my blood sugar has been so low that I have had to reduce my insulin. Everything is screwed up. My advice is if you are not taking Inderal, don't start. As for anxiety, how could I get enough energy to be anxious about anything. I am really angry that Wyeth would not allow me to speak to a pharmacist. I was ready to go on a two week vacation but here I sit because Wyeth discontinued 10mg and 20 mg Inderal because they weren't PROFITABLE. The first day I literally shook all over. Now I'm more relaxed but I'm in a daze. My chose was to discontinue Inderal or take a higher dosage. I chose to say, enough is enough. I'm not getting more dependent on this drug. I wish I had enough pills so I could do like the one girl did and shave off a little every pill but I could only get 34 pills not 90. And the drug company warns you not to stop this medication abruptly and then they stop making it and make no formal announcement. As for handling anxiety, I would advise people to try breathing techniques and other alternatives medicenes and not depend on Inderal or any other meds and certainly would not advise for jitters before a musical performance. If you don't get a high and thrill from performing for an audience, maybe chose a different profession. That's what I did. Don't take Inderal!! (Fri Sep 1 22:03 2006)
PS - No, I don't notice tightness in chest. Nor do I have lowered libido problems. I sometimes get really tired, like my body is really heavy inside my limbs if that makes sense...even when my blood sugar seems ok. I have a hard time getting it right too. But that's a whole other Oprah. (Wed Aug 30 0:48 2006)
First, to PJ, I think you are taking too high of a dosage, but I am not your doctor, nor do I know of your needs. But someone healthy, it seems, wouldn't need that much Inderal.
I first took Inderal (propranolol, I take the generic), in 1996, 10 years ago for tremors, and racing heart. It helped. I took 10 mgs. twice a day. I still take it to this day. But I would love to get off of it, and have tried but cannot.
If you don't have to take this med, I would say not to, because if you start it, you will have to take it for the rest of your life most likely. At least that is what it seems it is for me.
I didn't even have heart problems, but I have panic attacks and have since 7 years old. I have a rapid heartbeat, so it makes me panicky. And vice versa. I think about this all the time too, since I am very centered around health. I keep wondering if my heart is ok, since it seems to beat hard and fast when I exert myself these days. I have always been active, and am only 37. Good health. Was anorexic for brief time in teen years. But I have begun to wonder if the Inderal has made my heart weaker, therefore has to work harder now when exerting myself, and so the Inderal isn't as effective. I don't know. But it's driving me insane thinking about it and wondering all the time, and when I went to my Dr. about it, he merely said, "It would cost money to put a 24 hr. machine on you. You are still alive!". Grr...plus charged extra, making it $80 for that visit. 10 mins.
I started having low blood sugar issues, which is a little known side effect of Inderal. Plus you have hair loss. Plus you can be cold in feet and hands. I was tired of side effects and decided to cut myself loose of it's hold last December. I started shaving a bit off of the pills slowly, little by little over months, each day. I got down to almost 10 mgs. a day, but the heart rate was much faster (maybe even faster than before I started taking it, I can't remember now!), and so I have had to go back up to taking more again. This really is frustrating and upsetting. I don't like meds in my system, nor being a slave to it. I already take Xanax when needed.
To that one person, no, you can't just stop this stuff. But I would cut some off bit by bit, slowly and it can be done. For you, it would be easier. I would do it now before your body becomes dependant on it as mine seems to be now.
As a result of it, my BP is a bit low and that is scary. Dizziness when I stand too quickly. And I still have racing heart rates when I wait too long to eat and eat too much or when I get up. BUT, it HAS helped with racing heart. I don't seem to notice it helping with anxiety though. Xanax for that.
I constantly monitor my heart rate. Drives me crazy, worrying so often about it. Most likely a psychological thing...worrying about that instead of something outside of me. But I can't think of what may be bothering me. I analyze that too. ha...
The woman that is wondering about taking it at work...if it puts her to sleep at work, can you shave off some of the med, like I do?
My Dr. said I could take it as needed, when I got to lower dosages or had quit (I had planned on being off it by now) but to me, from what I've read, it seems that you can't do that completely. Though, I have heard of some people taking it occasionally. But if you have taken it for a long period of time, consistantly, then you have to taper off, and like I said, I don't know if that can be done.
Hope this helps somebody out there. My email is babytibbs@hotmail.com in case someone needs to contact me. Thanks and be well fellow peeps. You are not alone. (Wed Aug 30 0:42 2006)
I have been taking indera 40mg for migraines for the last six months and I have been having vivid nightmares also. I know that this stuff is causing low libido problems and I get drowsey about 43 to 4 hours after I take it. The problem is I am having mild chest tightness and my doctor keep telling me just keep taking it. I do wake up in the middle of the night and early morning scared to go back to sleep. Is anyone else having chest tightness while taking inderal? (Fri Aug 25 23:54 2006)
hello all,
i donno y but my stomach starts paining once i get anxiety..i get scared to go to college..can u help me??? (Tue Aug 22 8:33 2006)
Hi all, thought I'd post this in case it helps you in anyway. I used to take propranolol for blood pressure but after a while I noticed how well it helped with anxiety attacks. I stopped taking it for HBP but kept filled the remaining scripts so I'd have a stash. When I felt that one might be on the way I'd take a 10mg tablet and it would take the edge off to where the attack never show-balled into stark terror. I'm out now and after loosing it at the grocery store checkout today (first time in over a year) I'm heading back to the doctor to ask for more. (Sun Aug 20 15:30 2006)
With the dosage I'm taking, it helps with the anxiety but does nothing for my problem with a racing pulse.. (Sat Aug 19 7:40 2006)
I am getting ready to start taking 20 mg of Ideral 3 x day on an as needed basis. But my doctor only prescribed me 21 pills for an entire month. Can this not be taken daily for anxiety? This condition is getting so bad for me, that I am going into fear to walk out my front door afraid of having to deal with it. I love being around other people but I have for some pathetic reason started getting EXTREMELY shaky and nervous around most everyone I know. I guess it's possible I am developing social anxiety for some idiotic reason but the reason I'm getting uncomfortable around others is because of these unexplained anxiety symptoms. In fact, the shakiness gets pretty bad before I even realize I'm obviously getting anxious. I am so frustrated right now. I think I would need this medication every day for it to work right, am I wrong? You can't just take an antidepressant whenever you want to get it to work right. I've been doing some really stupid things to try and relieve this anxiety. When I say it's bad, I mean it's bad. How well does this medication work?

I've been taking Inderal (80mg)since 1 year for my migraine . And her it is, nightmares started . Horrible!!! It turned to sort of hallucination , seing people in the room . Could not sleep .The funiest thing that you are aware that it is only a nightmare but it does not change anything to the fact that you run out of bed with strong fear .Please is someone experiencing this ??? I know exactly what you mean about waking up in fear. I have been up since 1 am afraid to go back to sleep. I doze off, but wake up suddenly again. I have been on 10mg twice a day for two weeks. I can't seem to get a good breath in, has this ever happened to anyone else? (Thu Jul 27 9:41 2006)
Anyone know if it's OK to drink with these? I'm sure someone has to ..since they're often prescribed for social phobia conditions..and people often drink in those settings. just wondering? (Wed Jul 26 3:53 2006)
Just to share my experiences w/ Inderal.
Bought it online to help before going onstage w/ the guitar. It does help w/ nervousness. I can also agree that it makes me sleepy 3 or 4 hours afterwards. One very notable thing though, and after reading some of these posts, does not seem that uncommon... the dreams can become a deterrant. Here's my very unprofessional opinion of what may be happening there. While you sleep, the meds wear off entirely and your fight or flight sympathetic response kicks into overdrive. The dreams themselves aren't that scary, but there is a very strong and very definite sensation of fear! I'd wake up around 4am, terrified to go back to sleep and getting goosebumps and 'fear chills'. This has never happened in my life before, and now only happens the day I take it. As I said, it's nothing particularly scary, but it's purely a physiological fear state. Messed up eh? I see that most never get a response to their posts on this board..but, anyone have these similar experiences? Oh, and through new clinical studies, they say St. John's wort does not work. (Wed Jul 26 3:49 2006)

Hello all. I have daily anxiety (nausea, sweaty palms, diziness, etc) and my doc prescribed me 80 mg Inderal La once a day. Any thoughts? Should I take less every day? I want to make sure I can function at work..........Thoughts? (Sun Jul 16 15:18 2006)
3 weeks ago I was diagnose by the Neurologist as having a mild form of Benign Essential Tremor.I was prescibed to take Propranolol,"when I needed it".No explanation was given what type of "drug" this was,no explanation was given concerning it's side effects. No explanation being the operative word here.It left you with the notion that this "drug" is like a asprin or paracetomol. The dosage I was prescibe was 40mg 3 times daily. Now my resting heart rate at hovers around 52-55BPM.I would like to think I am naturally fit, and would certainly like to keep that way.Took 2 tablets the first day....tremor had gone, took nothing the next day, then took one tablet daily when the need arose.2 weeks later went for a very short bike ride, felt great to get back on the bike, after 5 months.Later that evening got symptoms associated with someone suffering from angina.Chest pains, around the area of the heart, arm pains, jaw pains etc.It was clear the medication was entirely instrumental in my condition,as I have never had these type of pains in my life.Particularly around the heart and chest.First time in my life felt my health being vulnerable.Between the period of the 23/06/06 and 9/06/06 had taken 18 40mg Propranolol tablets.I went to see the GP who prescribe me 10mg twice a day.I am still suffering from these chest pains and "tightness" in the arms.I STILL CANNOT NOT BELIEVE THAT IT CAN BECOME "DANGEROUS" TO STOP TAKING THESE TABLETS.I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT A FIT HEALTHY PERSON WITH A MILD TREMOR, CAN WITHIN A SPATE OF 3 WEEKS BECOME A POTENTIAL HEART ATTACK VICTIM.(If that's not a reason for anxiety, I don't know what is?)Regardless of how well these tablets have performed for people over years. There is something infinately wrong in our reliance to prescibe "drugs" for varying conditions and for different individuals. They have so many side effects we are unsure ourselves what most of them are, this includes both the physicians and the "profit" motivated pharmaceutical companies. If someone knows how to stop taking propranolol I would be extremely grateful.I am finding my "doctors" predisposition to prescibe only "drugs" unhealthy.Thinks it's time our doctors tell us what exactly we are taking, and what are the possible side effects.Like to add this has been my personal experience, and my personal reaction to this medication.Again I would greatly appreciate your opinions, and thank-you all for sharing your particular experiences, which have been informative.Once again thank-you. (Fri Jul 14 11:10 2006)
I was just reading about inderal, I take 80 mg daily to prevent migraines, I recently went on vacation and forgot to take my pills, I expierenced severe pressure on my forehead, then later in the week severe pressure around my entire head, this pressure would intensify as the day went on until I had a "full blown" migraine. Upon arriving home after our 7 day vacation, I immediatly started taking the inderal again and the headachs have subsided, but I never new the extent of withdrawel symptoms, I thought inderal was harmless in low doses, I had now other sypmtoms other than the increadible pressure on my head. Which led to horrible migraines later in the day. (Mon Jul 10 15:58 2006)
Hi Roger...40mg twice a day seems like a very large dose. Perhaps you could take a lower dose like I do...as I've mentioned in my post I take 5mg's twice a day and it's very effective & I've had my blood pressure checked and it seems to be ok, a little low but nothing that the doctor was worried about. If you're having anxiety attacks don't discard the Inderal...keep it there on hand because you might need it! I also suggest taking 'St Johns Wort' which you can buy anywhere that sells Vitimans...I take one tablet 3 times a day and it has really helped with my moods and the anxiety. Hope this helps you. (Tue Jun 27 23:22 2006)
Hi everyone,
I started having anxiety attacks in Mid May and thought I was actually suffering a heart attack or had lung problems because the chest pains and breathing was so bad, plus out of control shaking, feeling faint and seeing 'stars'. My friends even rushed me to hospital where they did blood tests, EPG's, put me on oxygen etc. Then I'm told their anxiety attacks which scared me even more! I always thought anxiety attacks were something people like me would never have (I am not particuarly emotional most of the time). Anyway, the doctor put me on 5mg twice a day, which is a very low dose but has been effective. When I feel another attack coming on I usually take 10mg & I'm ok...or if I have a date & think I might get nervous (hence have another attack!) I take 10mg...nothing worse then worrying you might have an attack in public! I would like to come off it, but I am now seeing a physcotherapist (which also helps!) & will wait til that treatment is over. I think I would be an absolute mess if it wasn't for Inderal.
All, Just came from my doctor. He said that I have to stop Inderal for my anxiety immediately because Inderal has a bloodpressure lowering effect, and my bloodpressure had become too low: 95 over 60. (Wed Jun 21 13:12 2006)
Hello All, Am new to this forum.
Have a question on usage of Inderal. My doctor has prescribed Inderal for treating my anxiety, and it seems to work. One thing though, immdeiately after taking it (40mg 2 times daily) I am getting very tired and dull in my head. This seems to last for +/- 3 hours after taking it.
Is this normal? Should I maybe take less? Does it still have effect then?

I was put on Inderal for a veso vegel, an adverse reflex that causes the heart rate to speed up and the blood pressure to drop, which ultimately caused me to faint. I have always been somewhat high strung, but i would get multiple fainting spells a several times a day, which I believe induced my anxiety. I was also under stress for several other factors. My doctor prescribed Inderal and I can honestly say that it allowed me to function with my life. I recently decided to get off it, because school ended and it made me very tired. I have been off it for about 3 weeks, and since then I have felt somewhat apathetic to life. I don't have much motivation to eat and I sleep a lot. I'm somewhat emotionless and haven't experienced excitement or anger for quite some time. This lifestyle of mine is making me depressed. I did stop Inderal cold turkey, but I'm very young and didn't experience the racing heart and palpitations. I had low blood pressure before I got on Inderal. I'm going to college in the fall, and I would really appreciate if anyone could tell me if they'd have any similiar emotional problems getting off Inderal. I do feel like I've overcome my fear of fainting and I don't really feel dependent on Inderal for anxiety. I'm just wondering if these symptoms are from being off Inderal and if so how long they will last. I would appreciate any help. Thank you. (Wed Jun 14 5:31 2006)
I just used inderal for multiple presentations in front of a crowd of approximately 200 people and it worked great! I will say it does nothing for the feeling leading up to the event but if taken 1 hour before hand it will kill all of the heart palpatations, shaky voice and all the other problems. I was able to focus on the task at hand and deliver a great performance. My message was clear and everyone thought I did great. It was a great release. I took 4 20mg tablets before each presentation. That is probalby too much but I wanted to be assured it would work. You will know if it working if you have a dry mouth and cold hands. Other than that, I was a little light headed but felt great. I was always in control and there are no other side affects other than you are bullet proof in front of a crowd. If you have sufferd as I with talking in front of groups, I recommend this product. I just scored a victory with my career. The best part is you only have to take it when you need it. God bless the people who came up with it (Thu Jun 8 21:43 2006)
